Aims
To develop an understanding of methods and ideas which underlie the making of art and the practice and extension of these in the development of individual thinking and creating.

Entry into Level 3 Painting.
NCEA Level 1 Art is a prerequisite.
I took painting in Year 12 because I wanted a way to express myself and a creative outlet other than just doing academic work all year. I would recommend taking painting if you are passionate about it, as it has helped me develop a range of skills I can use later on in life regardless of what path I choose.
